Don't take my picture mom

Super cool dudes wear many things....
1. A bat cape
2. Tractor paraphernalia
3. most importantly.....the riding glove
(he loves to wear these like pro motor cross guys, unfortunately they don't sell them in his size)
He was a little ticked that I made him take this picture

this is dedicated to one we love and miss....

Ever since Miss Claire learned of her aunt Jen Jens aversion to grasshoppers she has become quite the collector.
she even named this one "Jen".

the Pirate

Today Gill thought he'd like to swordfight like a pirate.....

Unfortunately the only "sword" we have is kitchen utensils.

5th place

These are all the water bottles that those slobby bike riders just tossed aside. What about saving the environment?
The 5th place winners, not bad for first timers.

Lotoja

I am one supportive wife. Before the race began I placed this sign, unfortunately it was on the wrong road.
Just crossed the finish line!
This is the relay team...from left to right...Preston, Chad Waldron, Jeff, Chad Butler. The fifth place overall finishers!!!
Their sweet a** rides
In the Tour de France, the winners toast with champange, since we are NOT in France and in Jacksons Hole, we toasted with hand made Teton Tiramatsu at this fabulous authentic Italian restaurant Noni. (This was my favorite part!)

Getting ready

As some of you may already know, Jeff is an avid cyclist. The current race going on right now is Lotoja, its a journey that begins in Logan and ends in Jackson Hole Wyoming. It is for one day, covers 3 states, and is 206 miles. Jeff is part of a relay team and his leg of the race is all uphill (the hardest leg). Thanks to my lovely mother (she volunteered to watch the kids) I am able to go up and watch him cross the finish line. I have included a few pictures of Jeff racing, the first is from his days racing with Team Discovery, he even won the yellow jersey. Many of you may not know that (seeing that he is so modest about his victories). Good luck hun!

Angry eyes

As I have been uploading pictures for this blog I have come across some older ones of the kids that make me laugh. This is one of them and from time to time I will add pictures from the past. This is October of 2004 and Jeff did all the artwork.

the weather bug

As some of you may know, one of Jeff's many hobbies is the weather. Anyone withing a ten mile radius of our home can spot the odd looking device atop our shed. This morning Emily felt like it was going to be a cool day and insisted on wearing a long sleeve shirt. Hey, maybe its in the genes because she was correct.

Does my butt look big?

I am in the process of rearranging some things in the house and I propped this mirror up against the chair as I wait for Jeff to help me hang it elsewhere. I come up the stairs to Gilly doing this. Honestly girls, can any of us deny doing the same thing with the one question looming in the recesses of our minds.....Does my butt look big?

First day of school/moms freedom day

Gill wanted some boxers for his first day of school, he only let me take his pic in them because I told him David would see them and would think they were cool.
Here he is on his first day of leaving the nest. Funny, I was only weeping tears of gratitude.
He really likes that Miss Mickey (its really Viki) has a pepsi machine, I just have to make sure we have change every day.
Playing with his mates
About 15 minutes after school was out he was gone, Thank you Miss Mickey.

Playing on the tramp

Em jumping on the tramp, I love the look on her face!

Today Gill and I went shopping and he picked out this golf set (he wanted to be like his dad). He is actually pretty good at it!

I needed to document this one time where Em actually got in her jammies the first time I asked her.

Jeff went on a spa getaway this weekend (?) and Abby missed him so much that she packed his blue blankie everywhere.

marshmallows

Gilly really loves his new Hot Wheels cereal. If you look really close you'll be able to see that he eats only the blue race car marshmallows.
